The political establishment has failed to protect us. We face a mass extinction of species on Earth; a real risk of devastating environmental collapse. The planet could lose its ability to support human life. There is little time left: we must rebel to protect the livelihood of citizens and our natural world, or risk losing everything we cherish.

Extinction Rebellion was launched at the end of October 2018 and has quickly spread around the world. We are united by a shared desire to challenge governments and to act urgently to prevent ecological breakdown. The movement has three demands and is guided by our ten principles and values.

XR Chelmsford rebelled across London during the International Rebellion in April. We helped gain headlines around the world. Right now, rebels are preparing for the International Rebellion to continue on October 7.
