Procession for the Planet

September 11, 2019

Amazon is burningArctic is melting and precipitous fall in Antarctic sea ice since 2014!! Wondering what you can do? We all can fight these climate atrocities by coming together, standing up against the global inactive political system.

Join the rebel movement at the heart of Chelmsford on 14th of September to tell the truth out loud about climate crisis we are facing today.

Last April, Extinction Rebellion took to the streets of London, leading an open rebellion against government inaction on the ecological and climate crises. This resulted in some movement towards our first demand – “TELLING THE TRUTH” about the unprecedented global emergency we are facing – with parliament declaring a climate and ecological emergency, along with 322 councils out of 408. Unfortunately, Essex County Council is not one of these 322 councils; will they declare a climate and ecological emergency on the 8th October?

On the 7th and 14th September, rebels all over the country are restating our declaration of rebellion, in advance of the second international rebellion starting 7th October in London and other cities across the world. Join Extinction Rebellion Chelmsford on the 14th as we process through the town centre and redeclare our rebellion at iconic Chelmsford locations: Shire Hall and County Hall.
